VICTORIAN 15CT GOLD RUBY EYED DIAMOND FOX BROOCH / TIE PIN – BOXED. A superb rare 15ct gold Victorian brooch / tie pin in the form of a fox head, embellished with diamonds and 2 little rubies for eyes. It is clearly stamped for 15ct gold to the back of the fox head, which is great to see, as normally the diamond and ruby fox heads on these brooches, pins, rings etc are only silver. It is very well designed, the detail is excellent, the fox is very life like with lots of character and expression in the face. It measures 5.5cms, and weighs 1.6g. It is in good condition with just a bit of wear to the horn, the pin is also ever so slightly bent, wear to the stones commensurate with age. A stunning antique piece of jewellery which is now over 130 years old. Omes cased in an antique Harrods box, which is lined with cream silk and velvet. Measures 8.5cms in length, by 3cms in width, by 2cms in height. In good condition with a bit of age related wear, mostly to the bottom – please see pictures. Opens, closes and snaps shut as it should. All of my items are very carefully packaged and sent tracked and signed.
